Rome concerts draw crowds as Edoardo Bennato and Marcus Miller perform

Italian singer‑songwriter Edoardo Bennato opened his tour "Quando sarò grande" with a two‑hour concert at Rome’s historic Circo Massimo on 20 July. The show revisited his 1977 song "Quando sarai grande" and featured references to Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio, with Bennato noting that "we see Collodi’s characters every day on the news." Guest Leo Gassmann joined for a duet before the concert closed with the 1987 hit "Tu vuoi l’America."

At the same venue, the Rome Summer Fest 2026 hosted a performance by American bassist Marcus Miller in the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica. Miller delivered a genre‑spanning set of jazz, funk, fusion and electronic pieces, including a tribute to Miles Davis, and was accompanied by a high‑caliber backing band. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause.

Both events highlight Rome’s vibrant live‑music scene, drawing sizable crowds to historic and modern stages alike.
