Italian police arrest multiple drug traffickers and seize weapons in raids across Rome, Policoro and Rieti

A coordinated series of police operations in Italy led to several drug‑related arrests. In Rome, Carabinieri detained six suspects linked to a cocaine and arms network that used restaurants and encrypted messaging apps. A separate raid stopped a 22‑year‑old Nigerian courier from boarding the Metromare with 280 g of shaboo, a synthetic stimulant worth over €80,000 on the street.

In Casoria, a 47‑year‑old man already under house arrest was caught delivering cocaine from his home, with 20 g seized and €810 in cash. In Policoro, Carabinieri uncovered more than six kilograms of cocaine and hashish, packaging equipment and a functional Kalashnikov AK‑47 in a rural shed, arresting two men. Finally, in Rieti, an Egyptian national known to authorities was found with small quantities of hashish and cocaine near the historic Roman bridge and placed under judicial supervision.
