Rome exhausts autism inclusion program funds
In Rome, funding for a specific call dedicated to the inclusion of people with autism has been exhausted. According to a determination from the Department of Social Policies and Health, 18 projects will not receive contributions because the available resources from Roma Capitale were insufficient to cover all approved proposals.
The total amount requested for the initiative was approximately 963,453 euros, while only 790,398 euros were available, leaving a deficit of over 173,000 euros. While 82 projects were granted funding, the shortfall means several initiatives aimed at sports, culture, and autonomy-building for individuals with autism will remain unfunded. This specific fund was supported by state and regional resources, though the region has allocated a larger total sum for autism-related initiatives in the area.
