Festa del Cinema di Roma 2026 showcases diverse film premieres and awards

The 21st edition of the Festa del Cinema di Roma features a diverse lineup of international and domestic productions. Highlights include the presentation of Taika Waititi’s ‘Klara and the Sun’, starring Jenna Ortega, which explores themes of artificial intelligence and human connection through the symbolic lens of sunlight.

Other notable screenings include the crime series ‘Cagnàz’, set in the Romagna Riviera, and ‘Il Ministero dell’Amore’, starring Alessandra Mastronardi. The festival also addresses sensitive social issues through films like ‘Se domani non torno’, which examines the aftermath of the Giulia Cecchettin tragedy.

In addition to film screenings, the event includes the Charity Event supporting WeWorld to aid women and girls in Afghanistan, and the fifth edition of the Premio Bolognini, which honors both artistic talent and technical craftsmanship in the film industry. The festival continues to serve as a major platform for both cinematic excellence and social discourse.
