Rome-Florence high-speed rail delayed by technical inspection

High-speed rail services on the Rome-Florence line experienced delays on Sunday, August 16, due to a technical fault requiring an inspection of a train near Capena.

The disruption, which began around 3:50 PM, was largely resolved by 5:30 PM. However, several High-speed, Intercity, and Regional trains faced travel time increases of up to 60 minutes. Some high-speed services were rerouted through slower lines to maintain connectivity between the capital and Tuscany.
