Rome highlights cultural heritage and botanical spaces

Rome is hosting various cultural and leisure experiences centered around its historic gardens and greenery.

Villa Medici, the seat of the Accademia di Francia a Roma since 1803, will open to the public on September 26 and 27, 2026, as part of the European Heritage Days. Visitors can explore the Renaissance gardens, the Grande Salone, and the Festival des Cabanes. The villa, originally purchased by Cardinal Ferdinando de’ Medici in 1576, serves as a residence and production space for artists and researchers.

Additionally, Anima Garden, located at The Rome EDITION, offers a botanical aperitivo experience. The venue features an internal courtyard with over 400 plants, providing a space for contemporary Italian cuisine and cocktails. The Botanical Alchemy format is available daily from 18:00 to 21:00, with DJ sets held on Wednesdays.
