Rome hosts free outdoor cinema screenings

Rome is hosting several free outdoor film screenings on September 3, 2026, across various locations. At Villa Borghese, the Casa del Cinema will present Buster Keaton’s 1926 silent comedy ‘The General’ to celebrate the filmmaker’s centenary.

At Parco Tevere Marconi, the ‘Arena 11 – Cinema e Comunità’ series will screen Cristian Mungiu’s ‘R. M. N. – Animali selvatici’, a drama exploring ethnic tensions and social inequality in Transylvania. Additionally, Parco Andrea Campagna will host a documentary focused on the struggle of Iranian women.
