Rome hosts major audiovisual and film industry events

Rome is serving as a central hub for the international audiovisual and film industries through several major events. The 12th edition of the International Audiovisual Market (Mia), promoted by Anica, concluded with over 2,800 professionals and 630 projects from 83 countries, marking a 26% increase in presented works compared to the previous year.

Simultaneously, the 21st edition of the Rome Film Fest (Festa del Cinema di Roma) concluded with 120,000 spectators. The festival featured 527 screenings of 194 films from 55 countries. The event highlighted high youth participation and included diverse programming ranging from international competition to screenings in prisons.

These gatherings underscore Rome's growing role in the global cinematic ecosystem, blending industrial business negotiations at Mia with high-profile cultural celebrations at the Film Fest.
