Rome hosts outdoor cinema festivals in local parks

Rome is hosting several outdoor cinema festivals as part of the Roma Creativa 365 program, promoted by Roma Capitale and in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.

Arena 11 – Cinema e Comunità will take place from August 31 to September 6 at Parco Tevere in Municipio XI. This transcultural film series features Italian and international films aimed at exploring social and gender inequalities, as well as community relations. The event offers free admission with 150 seats available.

The eighth edition of Il Cinema alle Mura… e non solo will feature 21 evenings across three locations: Parco delle Mura Aureliane, Villa Fiorelli, and Parco dei Tricicli. This festival allows the public to vote online for film categories such as animation, classics, and musicals. Each screening is preceded by a documentary titled ‘Il quartiere raccontato dai film’, which highlights classic Italian cinema scenes filmed in the local neighborhoods.
