Rome hosts ‘Roma come stai?’ urban transformation series

The ‘Roma come stai?’ series of public meetings returns from September 12 to October 17. Organized by Municipio Roma I Centro in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome, the 2026 edition focuses on urban squares as living spaces where history and contemporary design intersect.

The program consists of four scheduled events at iconic locations in Rome:

• September 12: Francesco Cellini discusses the urban and archaeological arrangement of the Mausoleum of Augustus at the Ara Pacis Museum. • September 26: Valentina Cocco examines the transformation and redevelopment of Piazza Testaccio. • October 3: Luca Catalano presents the Piazza Pia project at Castel Sant’Angelo. • October 17: Andrea Grimaldi and Filippo Lambertucci discuss the museum-station project for Colosseo/Fori Imperiali on Line C at the Colosseum.

Each session includes musical preludes by MuSa – Musica Sapienza, and participation is free of charge. Since its inception in 2017, the initiative has served as a platform for dialogue between scholars, institutions, and citizens regarding the city's future.
