UCID convenes Rome conference on AI and data governance in healthcare

The Union of Christian Entrepreneurs and Managers (UCID) organized a conference titled “Intelligence, Data and People” in Rome on 1 July 2026. The event was held in the Sala Tevere of the Lazio Region (Via Cristoforo Colombo 212) and brought together institutional representatives, health executives, jurists, digital‑health experts and academics to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in health systems.

Key points emphasized were that AI can be effective only when built on trust, robust data‑governance, applied ethics and models of solidarity and subsidiarity, keeping the person ahead of the algorithm. Speakers included Giuseppe Pedrizzi (UCID regional president), Moreno Di Legge, Federica Miniello (CEO, EPT Consulting), Riccardo Pedrizzi, Alessia Savo, and a wide range of experts from the Italian Society of Digital Medicine, the National Bioethics Committee, Cittadinanzattiva Lazio, and others. The conference stressed the need for ethical frameworks and collaborative governance to ensure person‑centred digital health innovation.
