Rome implements special transport plan for Champions League match

Rome has announced an extraordinary mobility plan to manage transport for the Champions League match between Roma and Real Madrid scheduled for October 14. To facilitate the movement of thousands of spectators and reduce car usage, the city will extend the operating hours of metro lines A, B/B1, and C until 1:30 AM on the night of the match.

Enhanced service frequencies will be implemented, including a train every 10 minutes on Metro A and every 5 minutes on the central section of Metro B/B1. Additionally, a special shuttle service, ‘NAV STADIO’, will run every five minutes to connect the Ottaviano metro station directly to the Foro Italico area.

Separate from the sporting event, various roadworks and traffic restrictions are affecting the city. Nightly closures are scheduled for the Nuova Circonvallazione interna tunnel toward San Giovanni and the Magliana viaduct. Other ongoing works include nighttime closures on Via Pontina and near Via Flaminia through mid-October.
