Rome launches call for independent theatre companies for Città Visibile 2026

The Associazione Culturale Marte 2010 has launched ‘Visioni in Scena’, a public call for independent theatre companies, cultural associations, and artistic collectives to join the ‘Città Visibile 2026’ program. Promoted by Roma Capitale as part of the ‘Estate Romana 2026’ initiatives, the project will take place at the new Centro Culturale Aldo Nicolaj in Rome.

The selection process aims to support professional independent entities and promote original productions. Selected works will be featured in the ‘Visioni in Scena’ showcase between October and December 2026. The call is open to various live performance languages without geographic or age restrictions. A unique aspect of the selection is a participatory process where pre-selected proposals are reviewed by a group of citizens and theatre enthusiasts to assist the Artistic Direction in its final curation.
