Rome launches cycling incentive program for commuters

Rome has launched the ‘Roma Corre in Bici’ campaign to encourage daily bicycle use. As part of European Mobility Week, the initiative provides financial incentives of 0.30 euros per kilometer traveled, capped at 10 euros per day and 30 euros per month.

Supported by a 470,000 euro fund from Roma Capitale and Sport e Salute, the program is available to employees of companies within the Mobility Management network and students at accredited schools or universities. Participants must use the Wecity digital platform to track their trips. Incentives are paid via bank transfer once a minimum threshold of one euro is reached.
