Rome launches Green Innovation Its Academy for energy transition training

The Fondazione Green Innovation Its Academy has been launched in Rome to train technicians specializing in decarbonization and the circular economy. Inaugurated in the Tiburtina area, the foundation aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the Lazio region's production system by providing technical profiles required by modern industry.

The foundation's first initiative is a free, two-year 'Energy Transition Specialist' course starting in November. This program is designed for young graduates and individuals seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce with practical skills in sustainable technologies, low-emission processes, and innovative plant management. The course concludes with a diploma recognized by both the Italian Ministry of Education and the European Union.

The academy is the result of a multidisciplinary partnership involving various sectors. Key participants include companies such as Acea, Kuwait Petroleum Italia, and Orange Branded; educational institutions like the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and several secondary schools; and professional training organizations including Unindustria Perform Srl and Associazione Cnos-Fap Lazio Salesiani.
