Rome launches July 2026 theatre festivals MATCH! and Ferento Teatro
The MATCH! festival, part of the Roma Theatrum Mundi initiative and supported by Fondazione Roma, runs at Teatro Torlonia from July 21 to July 29, 2026. The program showcases four productions by under‑35 companies, including *Vita di San Genesio Reloaded* by CTRL+ALT+CANC, *Odio extra‑vergine* by the Collettivo EFFE, and the multimedia installation *16:9* by Danilo Maglio.
The Ferento Teatro Festival 2026 takes place across the historic Teatro Romano and the ancient baths area from July 11 to August 19. The opening night on July 20 features journalist‑turned‑performer Sigfrido Ranucci presenting *Diario di un trapezista*, a monologue that reflects on the personal risks and hidden helpers behind his investigative reporting career. The festival program includes 15 events at the Roman theatre and 8 at the baths site, highlighting contemporary theatrical works within Lazio’s summer cultural calendar.
