Rome Metro B: Man dies after being struck by train at Garbatella station
A man died on Saturday morning after being struck by a train on the Metro B line at the Garbatella station in Rome. The incident occurred around 9:43 AM on the track heading toward Rebibbia.
Emergency responders, including firefighters and medical personnel, arrived at the scene to extract the individual. Medical staff confirmed the death on-site. Following the incident, transit authorities suspended service on the section between Laurentina and Castro Pretorio to allow for rescue operations and investigations. Replacement buses were deployed during the disruption, which concluded shortly before 1:00 PM.
