Rome municipality begins water pipe replacement on Via dei Due Ponti

From Monday, 6 July, the Rome XV district will carry out works to replace a 450‑metre water main on Via dei Due Ponti. The project, coordinated with utility Acea Ato2, aims to eliminate recurring pipe failures and improve water service in the neighbourhood.

To minimise disruption, the street will be closed to traffic between 05:00 and 10:00, with access allowed only for residents and emergency vehicles. The works are scheduled for the summer period while schools are closed, and the road will reopen the following morning after the replacement is completed.

The municipality thanked the city’s Public Works Department and Acea for their cooperation in planning the operation.
