Rome offers free entry to civic museums and archaeological sites on October 4
On Sunday, October 4, Roma Capitale will offer free admission to its civic museums and several major archaeological sites. Participating locations include the Museo della Forma Urbis, the Area Sacra di Largo Argentina, the Circo Massimo archaeological area, and the Fori Imperiali.
Guided tours of Palazzo Senatorio on the Capitoline Hill are also available for free. These tours, organized by Roma Capitale and the Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali, require mandatory reservations via telephone. Tours are conducted in Italian in four daily shifts for groups of up to 30 people.
Additionally, free entry extends to certain temporary exhibitions at civic museums. At the Musei Capitolini, the Pinacoteca is hosting ‘Il non finito: fra poetica e tecnica esecutiva’, while the Palazzo dei Conservatori features the exhibition ‘Angeli – Messaggeri, custodi e viandanti’.
