Rome police arrest five in eastern outskirts drug bust
The Polizia di Stato has conducted a series of operations in the eastern outskirts of Rome, resulting in five arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics. The investigations, carried out between Via Casilina and Via dell’Archeologia, uncovered a drug trafficking method involving both stationary and mobile depots.
During one operation in Via Casilina, police intercepted a vehicle and subsequently discovered 800 grams of hashish stored in a refrigerator inside a residence. This stash included weighing and packaging kits for retail distribution.
Additional seizures included over 120 doses of cocaine. Some of these were found in mobile depots hidden within vehicles, utilizing secret compartments behind window controls and bodywork cavities. The operations also neutralized a drug transaction involving a 49-year-old man in a residential complex.
