Rome police crack down on illegal vendors at Ultimo concert

Hundreds of Rome municipal police officers were deployed for the Ultimo concert on 4 July, seizing more than 7,000 bottles of water and other drinks and about 700 non‑food items sold without authorization. The operation resulted in fines totalling roughly €100,000 and the detention of a mobile food‑truck operator lacking the required permit.

The provincial Guardia di Finanza also conducted checks around the venue, confiscating 2,707 counterfeit goods and 46 irregular tickets. Eight individuals were reported to the judicial authority, one to the municipal administration, and two people received administrative fines of €500. The total estimated value of seized illicit merchandise was about €20,000, and the raid disrupted a broader network of unauthorized sellers that had been active at recent large‑scale concerts in the capital.
