Rome police dismantle illegal workshop for stolen cars
Police in Rome have dismantled an illegal workshop in the Borghesiana district used for processing stolen vehicles. Two Albanian nationals, aged 23 and 32, were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The workshop was equipped with professional tools and lifts. During the raid, authorities discovered two Volkswagen T-Roc vehicles; one had been partially dismantled after being stolen in Montesacro. Investigators believe components, such as the engine block, were being transferred between vehicles to hide their illicit origins. Additionally, police found an outdoor area containing hazardous waste, including over 300 liters of used mineral oil and discarded tires.
