Rome post office robbed of 100,000 euros by masked gunmen

Two armed men wearing Halloween masks robbed a post office in the Garbatella district of Rome on Monday morning, October 12. The suspects reportedly entered the facility on via Caffaro by creating a hole in a rear wall, allowing them to hide and wait for staff to arrive.

Around 9:00 AM, the men emerged and threatened the director and employees with pistols, forcing them to hand over approximately 100,000 euros in cash. No injuries were reported during the incident. The perpetrators fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Carabinieri units from the Roma Garbatella and Roma Eur stations are conducting an investigation. Authorities are reviewing security camera footage and performing technical-scientific analysis at the site to identify the suspects.
