Rome to host 2026 awards honoring anti-mafia judicial and social commitment

Several awards dedicated to the memory of magistrates killed by the mafia have been announced for 2026.

Graziella Luparello, a judge at the Court of Caltanissetta, has been named a recipient of the 2026 “European Justice Award Beato Rosario Livatino”. The award, to be presented in Rome on October 29, 2026, recognizes her excellence in judicial functions, specifically her work regarding organized crime and asset prevention measures.

Additionally, Benito Bruno, president of the association “Passo dopo Passo”, will receive the 2026 “Livatino – Saetta – Costa International Prize for Social Commitment”. The ceremony is scheduled for October 2, 2026, at the Prefecture of Rome. The prize honors Bruno’s dedication to supporting military personnel transitioning to civilian life.
