Rome to host 57th annual ECMA sustainable packaging congress

Rome will host the 57th annual congress of the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA) from September 16 to 18. This event marks the city's return as a host for the congress after more than thirty years.

The gathering will bring together international experts, companies, and professionals to discuss the challenges and future of the sustainable carton and paperboard packaging industry. Key topics include the roadmap for sustainable packaging and the industry's role in environmental protection.

A central feature of the congress is the Pro Carton/ECMA Awards 2026, which recognize excellence in packaging solutions, design, and communication. The awards ceremony will culminate in a gala on September 17 at Villa Miani.
