Rome to host conference on 20th-century Italian Thomism
The International Society of St. Thomas Aquinas, in collaboration with the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and the Angelicum Thomistic Institute, has announced a conference titled ‘Faces of a Living Thomism: 20th Century Italian’.
Scheduled for November 5, 2026, at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, the event aims to highlight the multidisciplinary and contemporary relevance of Italian Thomistic thought during the 1900s. This conference serves as the first step in a long-term project to establish an annual series of global meetings exploring Thomism across various geographic and linguistic contexts.
The program includes institutional addresses from leaders such as Fernando Puig, Rector of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, and representatives from CRUIPRO and UCIIM. The session will feature in-depth analyses of the works and philosophical contributions of Italian scholars dedicated to the legacy of St. Thomas Aquinas.
