Rome to host third International Valore Coraggio Award

The third edition of the International ‘Valore Coraggio’ Award is scheduled to take place on October 4, 2026, at the Sala della Protomoteca in the Campidoglio, Rome. Created by Anna Rita Cammerata, the ceremony aims to recognize individuals and entities that demonstrate courage through concrete commitment, solidarity, and social responsibility, often away from the media spotlight.

The event is held in collaboration with the Presidency of the Capitoline Assembly of the Municipality of Rome and carries the patronage of various institutions, including the Senate of the Republic, the Lazio Region, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Previous recipients include Pope Francis.

The 2026 edition features notable awardees such as Liliana Cavani, receiving a special prize for artistic, cultural, and social contributions; Lucia Goracci, for her reporting from war zones; and Luca Barbarossa, for his solidarity work. The evening will be hosted by journalist Roberta Ammendola and Agostino Penna, with artist Tony Renis also in attendance.
