Rome transport disruptions as A12 highway entry closed and tram line service paused

The A12 Roma‑Civitavecchia highway will close the Torrimpietra entrance in the direction of SS1 Aurelia overnight from 22:00 on 30 June until 06:00 on 1 July. Autostrade per l’Italia says the shutdown allows inspection and maintenance of the “Strada Poderale” overpass to meet safety standards. Motorists are advised to use the nearby Cerveteri‑Ladispoli entrance, and real‑time traffic information is available via the company’s app, website, VMS panels and a 24‑hour call centre.

In Rome, the municipal mobility commission has suspended the service conference for the Termini‑Vatican tram line (phase 2A) after detecting public‑service utilities under Corso Vittorio Emanuele II that need remediation. Fabio Stefano Pellegrini, director of the city’s tram department, said, “Anche questa conferenza è stata interrotta in ragione di interferenze con pubblici servizi da verificare.” The administration is revising financing with the Ministry before construction can resume.
