Romee Strijd rejects Victoria’s Secret after casting dispute

Former Victoria’s Secret model Romee Strijd has expressed deep disappointment after being excluded from the brand’s 2026 fashion show. The 31-year-old Dutch model, who served as an ‘angel’ between 2014 and 2018, revealed via TikTok that despite preparing throughout the summer and participating in the casting process in New York, she was not selected for the runway.

Strijd criticized the communication regarding her rejection, stating, “I don’t like how I was treated” and “I don’t like how the whole process unfolded.” She specifically questioned the brand's timeline, noting a discrepancy between the company's claims and her actual experience. While Victoria’s Secret stated that casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro had communicated the end of the selection process to her representatives on September 6, Strijd noted that she was still at the casting on September 10.

Following the experience, the model indicated she does not intend to participate in future Victoria’s Secret castings, describing the situation as a closed chapter.
