Romelu Lukaku says he remains committed to Napoli as contract expires

Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku, who has one year left on his contract, said his love for the club is unchanged and he has no intention of seeking an immediate transfer. He acknowledged his recent injury, noted that he is regaining full fitness, and emphasized his focus on the upcoming Belgium World Cup. Belgian coach Rudi Garcia said Lukaku is still recovering and may not be at 100% before the tournament. Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello dismissed any quick return to his former club Anderlecht, while Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis hinted that a move back to Anderlecht could be postponed until 2027. All parties stressed that Lukaku will continue to play for Napoli while he works on his condition and prepares for international duties.
