Romelu Lukaku set to leave Napoli as MLS and Turkish clubs show interest
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku missed the Napoli pre‑season training session in Castel di Sangro, confirming that his stay at SSC Napoli is ending. The club is eager to offload his €8.5 million net salary and is seeking a fee of at least €10 million.
Multiple suitors have emerged. Major League Soccer side Atlanta United has reportedly offered a two‑year contract worth around €5‑10 million, while Turkish clubs such as Trabzonspor, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş have also expressed interest. French club Monaco and other European teams are in preliminary talks, but no concrete deal has been reached. Rumours of a return to Belgian side RSC Anderlecht persist, yet Lukaku has indicated that a comeback this summer is unlikely.
The situation remains fluid, with the summer transfer window expected to determine Lukaku’s next destination, whether in MLS, Turkey, or elsewhere in Europe.
