Romelu Lukaku’s Napoli future in limbo as Turkish clubs show interest and wage‑cut talks emerge

Romelu Lukaku remains under contract with Napoli until June 2027, earning roughly €8 million a season. Napoli is prepared to consider offers close to €10 million, with Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş identified as the primary suitors.

Club president Aurelio De Laurentis and coach Massimiliano Allegri have also entertained the possibility that Lukaku could stay in Serie A if he agrees to a wage reduction or a contract restructured with performance‑related bonuses. The discussions reflect Napoli’s aim to balance on‑field needs with financial sustainability, while Lukaku has publicly expressed a desire to remain in Italy if a viable agreement can be reached.
