Romeo Beckham to make acting debut in French film Forty Love

Romeo Beckham, the 24-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham, will make his professional acting debut in the French film ‘Forty Love’. The movie, produced by StudioCanal, is set on the French Riviera and follows the relationship between two professional tennis players who transition from rivals to lovers.

In the film, Beckham portrays a charismatic new professional rival to star tennis player Sacha Gallo, played by Paul Kircher. The official trailer features scenes of the athletes competing on court as well as intimate moments between the two characters. The film marks the directorial debut of Pierre-Ange Carlotti and features a cast including Catherine Deneuve, Guillaume Canet, and Benjamin Voisin.

The trailer includes a nod to real-world tennis history, with Beckham’s character paraphrasing a 2017 quote from Rafael Nadal regarding his rival Roger Federer. ‘Forty Love’ is scheduled to be released in French cinemas in late November.
