Romeo Hunte debuts SS27 Ivy Noir collection at NYFW

Brooklyn designer Romeo Hunte presented his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled ‘Ivy Noir’, during New York Fashion Week on September 11. Held in Times Square, the 30-look show blended traditional collegiate prep with urban streetwear.

The collection featured elements such as blazers, button-downs, bow ties, and collegiate crests paired with denim, leather, oversized proportions, and sporty details. Hunte utilized satin fabrics for couture touches and experimented with suiting through plunging necklines and asymmetrical pant legs.

Notable runway appearances included Yaya DaCosta, who wore a striped button-down with layered denim and a burgundy pleated skirt. The menswear also combined formal pieces, like double-breasted blazers, with casual elements like sweatshirt sleeves and cropped shorts.
