Romero Brest Institute inaugurates new swimming complex in Buenos Aires

The Instituto Superior de Educación Física N.° 1 ‘Dr. Enrique Romero Brest’ has inaugurated a new aquatic complex at its Núñez headquarters. The facility features two heated swimming pools covering a total area of 470 m² with a volume of 738 m³.

Previously, students were required to use rented facilities for aquatic training. The new infrastructure, which includes student changing rooms, a medical office, administrative offices, and a machine room, was completed following an investment exceeding 2 billion pesos. The complex is designed to benefit over 3,000 students and is also equipped to host primary and secondary school students.

Inaugurated by Buenos Aires City Government officials Jorge Macri and Mercedes Miguel, the project marks a significant milestone for the institution, which will celebrate its 120th anniversary in 2026.
