Rome's Casina delle Civette offers guided tours and a new summer exhibition

The Casina delle Civette at Villa Torlonia in Rome will host daily guided tours (closed on Mondays) led by Dr. Marco Lo Muscio, director of the Casa Museo Wunderkammer. The tours, lasting about an hour, showcase the building’s Art Nouveau architecture, stained‑glass windows and esoteric symbolism, and include a presentation of a rare 1921 copy of Dante's *Canzoniere* illustrated by Paolo Paschetto and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Admission is free for Rome residents with a valid ID or MIC Card, while visitors pay €9.50 (reduced €6).\n\nFrom 31 July to 13 August, the venue will also feature the exhibition “Sotto una buona stella,” marking the 80th anniversary of the Italian Constituent Assembly and highlighting Paolo Paschetto’s designs for the national emblem. The exhibition is part of a broader summer cultural programme that includes shows at other Roman museums such as "Moda in luce" at the Centrale Montemartini and photography by Robert Mapplethorpe at the Ara Pacis museum.
