Rome's Parco del Pineto faces criticism over rapid deterioration

Daniele Giannini, a regional leader for the Lega party, has raised concerns regarding the rapid deterioration of the Parco del Pineto in Rome. Despite a recent redevelopment costing 541,000 euros, the area is reportedly showing signs of neglect only one month after its inauguration.

Specific issues highlighted include significant water stagnation in the Albergotti playground area, which Giannini mockingly referred to as an ‘acquapark’, and dry vegetation despite recent planting. Additionally, the newly constructed basketball court shows signs of wear, including surface markings and cracks in the concrete. The criticism focuses on the perceived lack of maintenance following the official reopening of the area on June 27.
