Romeu Zema campaigns for Brazil presidency with Novo party

Romeu Zema, the former governor of Minas Gerais, is running for the presidency of Brazil in the 2026 elections representing the Novo party. Zema, a businessman with a background in administration, resigned from his governorship to participate in the race. His running mate is Senator Eduardo Girão, also from the Novo party.

As part of his campaign activities, Zema is scheduled to visit Expointer, Latin America's largest open-air agribusiness fair, in Rio Grande do Sul. His campaign itinerary in the state includes visits to Porto Alegre, Canoas, Feliz, and Esteio. During his time at Expointer, Zema is expected to engage directly with agribusiness entities and supporters.
