Romeu Zema leads Brasília protest against STF ministers

Protesters gathered at the Esplanada dos Ministérios in Brasília on Tuesday to demonstrate against Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The protest, organized by the Novo Party and featuring political figures such as Romeu Zema and Sebastião Coelho, coincided with an STF session regarding a Federal Police report.

The report investigates potential links between Minister Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro, an individual under investigation for financial system fraud. Allegations include Vorcaro seeking interference from the minister prior to his arrest and connections involving legal contracts.

During the demonstration, Romeu Zema called for the impeachment of STF ministers, stating that investigations should proceed against any magistrate if necessary to uphold the Constitution. Participants also called for broad amnesty. Security forces, including the Military Police of the Federal District, utilized drones and increased surveillance to monitor the area around the Three Powers Plaza.
