Romeu Zema links Banco Master to Rui Costa administration

Presidential candidate Romeu Zema (Novo) claimed during a debate that Banco Master grew and established its structure during the administration of Rui Costa (PT) in Bahia. Zema also linked Senator Jaques Wagner (PT), the former governor of Bahia, to the institution.

Addressing financial system oversight, Zema called for the punishment and imprisonment of authorities, including Supreme Court ministers and Central Bank inspectors, who he alleges have acted in favor of banker Daniel Vorcaro. Additionally, Zema criticized Prosecutor General Paulo Gonet, stating that President Lula is responsible for his appointment and alleging a close relationship between Gonet and Vorcaro.
