Román Collado triumphs at La Luz bullring 65th anniversary

The La Luz bullring in León celebrated its 65th anniversary with the traditional Corrida de la Independencia. Spanish bullfighter Román Collado emerged as the standout performer of the event, earning one ear from each of his two bulls through displays of bravery and technical skill.

Diego San Román also achieved success, receiving a trophy for his performance after an emotive display with his second bull, despite a failed sword thrust that prevented him from securing two ears. Isaac Fonseca, who stepped in to substitute for the injured Héctor Gutiérrez, concluded the event by earning one ear for his work with a bull from the Julio Delgado ranch.

The bulls featured in the event came from the San Constantino ranch, though one bull was returned to the pens due to poor presentation and was replaced by a reserve.
