Romário defends Cristiano Ronaldo in dispute with Jorge Jesus

Brazilian football legend Romário has voiced his support for Cristiano Ronaldo following the striker's dispute with Portugal national team coach Jorge Jesus. Romário stated that he would have reacted similarly to Ronaldo, who recently left the national team camp due to disagreements with the coach.

The conflict reportedly stems from broken agreements. Ronaldo alleged that Jesus promised him approximately 30 minutes of playing time during a match against Norway but failed to fulfill this commitment. Furthermore, Ronaldo claimed that the coach did not honor a subsequent agreement to provide a joint explanation of the situation during a press conference.

While Romário noted he maintains a good personal relationship with Jesus from their time at Flamengo, he criticized the coach's professional conduct. Romário remarked, “If someone does not keep their word, it testifies to a bad character,” and suggested that Ronaldo felt humiliated by the coach's actions.
