Romsilva disputes allegations of illegal collective bonuses

Diana Buzoianu, the interim Minister of Environment, Waters, and Forests, has accused Romsilva of violating recommendations from the Court of Accounts by introducing collective bonuses into the new Collective Labor Contract. Buzoianu claims that while the Court of Accounts previously mandated individual performance-based rewards to ensure transparency and prevent the inefficient use of funds, the current management under Director General Jean Vișan has negotiated a contract that allows for collective bonuses.

Romsilva has issued an official response to these allegations, stating that no individual or collective bonuses have been granted from 2023 to the present, and none are included in this year's proposed budget. The agency clarified that Article 137 (2) of the contract merely provides the theoretical possibility of granting collective bonuses in exceptional circumstances when annual budget indicators are exceeded. Romsilva maintains that this provision is legal and does not apply automatically.
