Three-time world champion Ron Capps is set to be honored as part of the NHRA’s Top 75 Drivers list at the upcoming Brainerd Nationals. Capps, the current points leader in the Funny Car class, holds the record as the winningest active NHRA driver at Brainerd International Raceway with seven career victories.

Driving the 12,000-horsepower NAPA Auto Care Funny Car, Capps enters the event with three wins already this season. The Brainerd Nationals serves as the 13th event of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, positioned ahead of the high-stakes U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.
