Thimbleweed Park 2 announced for early 2028

Game designer Ron Gilbert announced that development has begun on Thimbleweed Park 2, a new point‑and‑click adventure set to launch in early 2028. The sequel will be self‑published with the help of a private investor and will feature the original development team, including Mark Ferrari, Gary Winnick, David Fox, Octavi Navarro and Robert Megone.

The game returns players to the fictional town of Thimbleweed Park, where agents Ray and Reyes investigate a murder at the Edmund Mansion. While not a direct sequel or prequel, Gilbert describes it as “more Thimbleweed Park” with the same quirky humor and puzzle‑solving style. It will be released for Windows, macOS and Linux on Steam and GOG, with a later console version planned for Nintendo Switch.
