Ron Perlman Hellboy Guillermo del Toro Asylum Studios biopic

Actor Ron Perlman has expressed renewed interest in completing the original Hellboy trilogy directed by Guillermo del Toro. Perlman noted that the second film ended on an unresolved narrative point regarding the character Liz Sherman and stated he would advocate for a third film to finish the series, regardless of his age.

In addition to discussing the franchise, Perlman shared updates on his upcoming professional projects. He is set to portray Ernest Hemingway in a new biopic set in Cuba and will appear in the Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Legends.

Perlman’s production banner, Asylum Studios, is also active. The studio recently partnered with Google to utilize immersive technology for the project Sedona, creating spatial video content for use with VR and spatial glasses.
