Ron Simmons and JBL discuss wrestling history on Chris Van Vliet

In a recent episode of ‘Insight with Chris Van Vliet’, wrestling legends JBL and Ron Simmons discussed their history, including the origins of their famous ‘DAMN!’ tagline. Ron Simmons explained that the phrase became a signature move after it was used spontaneously during ring mishaps and eventually incorporated into scripted exchanges by writers.

Simmons also reflected on the significance of winning the World Championship and the culture of the wrestling industry, describing it as a ‘guarded fraternity’ where acceptance from peers was essential for success.

Host Chris Van Vliet, a prominent Canadian podcaster in sports media, continues to produce three episodes weekly for his show, featuring in-person interviews with various professional wrestling figures.
