Ronald Acuña Jr. Begins Rehab Assignment with Atlanta Braves

Outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. of the Atlanta Braves will start a rehabilitation assignment with the Florida Complex League (FCL) Braves. The 28‑year‑old Venezuelan missed more than a month after suffering a left hamstring strain on June 9‑10. The team announced on social media, “Ronald Acuña Jr. today begin rehabilitation assignments with the FCL Braves.”

Acuña, who had 22 stolen bases and a .251 batting average with 49 hits before the injury, will work alongside infielder Ha‑Seong Kim, also recovering from a hand injury. The Braves hope to use the All‑Star break to accelerate his return, targeting the opening series against the Texas Rangers after the break, with a possible return the following week if his progress remains steady.
