Ronald Acuña Jr. hits grand slam in rehab game as Braves chase postseason
Venezuelan outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. continued his recovery from a left hamstring strain with a standout performance in his third minor‑league rehab game for the Atlanta Braves’ Florida Complex League team. Batting as a designated hitter, Acuña knocked a grand slam in the third inning, giving the Braves an 11–4 lead over the Red Sox affiliate and adding a walk and two stolen bases.
The grand slam was his first hit since the injury that landed him on the injured list on June 9, marking his second stint on the IL this season. The Braves hope to reactivate him soon to bolster a roster that is now 2.5 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East race.
