Ronald Acuña Jr. sets MLB record for fastest to 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases
Ronald Acuña Jr. has become the fastest player in Major League Baseball history to reach the 200 home run and 200 stolen base milestone. Achieving the feat in just 904 games, the Atlanta Braves outfielder surpassed the previous record of 929 games held by Alfonso Soriano.
The historic achievement occurred during a 9-0 victory for the Braves against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. Acuña hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning to reach his 200th career home run, following a stolen base earlier in the game that brought his career total to 225.
In addition to setting the pace for the 200/200 club, Acuña is one of only three Venezuelan players to reach these marks, joining José Altuve and Bobby Abreu. The Braves' win further solidifies their position at the top of the National League East division.
